LIFE. The single most benefit to exercise is LIFE. Lets get motivated. Below is a list of conditions that can be alleviated by exercising. let’s go!
Allergies: Our Dr. tells us we are allergic to this or that – so how to we control this without medication? Exercise! It is the body’s most efficient way to control nasal congestion. Exercising is the number one tool to improve the body’s blood flow and ability to extract oxygen from the blood stream.. which leads me to…
Angina: Do you feel pain in your chest? This is a result of a lack of consistent blood supply to the heart. The pain usually persists straight through to your shoulders and arms. Lets exercise to improve our blood flow through aerobic exercises.
Anxiety: Do you feel anxious? Out of place or even nervous? Get up and exercise. The physical movement will trigger chemicals in your brain that will alter your moods into more positive ones.
Back Pain: Does your back feel sore after standing up for long periods of times? Do you stand up all day at work and you turn to ibuprofen to relief your pain? New solution – You need to strengthen your lower back and your abdominal. Select a couple exercises that target your core and lower back and commit to executing them every night before you go to bed. Your back will feel stronger and better.
Cholesterol: As we get older, our good cholesterol decides to decrease, (HDL) while the bad cholesterol decides to increase. (LDL) Lets gain control over this crisis situation by exercising and by monitoring our cholesterol consumption.
My favourite – Constipation: Are you not regular? Exercise and a high protein/well balanced diet will strengthen your core, therefore making it easier to become regular.
Depression: Medication will not provide you with natural self esteem. It is a make-up, quick solution that fixes the chemicals in your brain to trick you into feeling happy. As discussed earlier, exercise helps supply your blood stream with oxygen, thus supplying more oxygen to your brain. By increasing or even improving the circulation of oxygen in your brain, it will enhance your mood and keep your hormones and chemicals balanced.
Diabetes: Yes it is true, exercising assists in lowering your risk of becoming diabetic. Exercise helps decrease the sugar levels in your blood, strengthen your heart – which improves over all circulation of blood/oxygen in your body and reduces stress.
Headaches: Stop taking medication to relieve your pain. Over the counter medication is only a temporary solution. Through exercise, your body forces your brain to secrete more naturally-high-like chemicals including endorphins and enkephalins.
High Blood Pressure: When there is a lack of oxygen/consistent blood flow as a result of stress and lack of exercise – it causes your arteries and veins to constrict the blood flow resulting in high blood pressure. Do yourself a favour, and exercise to reduce stress, the LDL levels in your blood stream and lower your resting heart rate.
Insomnia: Are you having difficulties sleeping? Perhaps it is because your body feels tense, nor at ease or in pain. Exercising helps relieve muscle tension, pain and stress.
All of the above are valuable, life saving reasons to exercise. Simply put: exercising makes you feel better and really good. There is no excuse in the world to not exercise. Wether it is 30 minutes of cardiovascular exercises or a two hour body challenging work out, you are doing your body a favour. You can find time every day to better your health and your body’s frame of mind. I say frame of mind because your body’s chemicals are balanced based upon exercise. Your body’s chemicals ultimately determine your literal frame of mind. Find peace of mind by exercising and challenging your body. You will not regret it.
